Featured client story

A partnership rebuilt: Imperial Theatre’s return to TixHub.

After more than 15 years with TixHub, Imperial Theatre in Sarnia explored a UK/US-based competitor’s platform that promised a more integrated future. One week before launch, the theatre made the call to stop—and return to TixHub.

01The promiseThe appeal of a more integrated platform

After many years with TixHub, Imperial Theatre was presented with a compelling alternative: a platform that promised to bring ticketing, marketing and email into one seamless workflow. On paper, it looked like the grass might be greener—a chance to reduce manual reporting and simplify how customer data moved across departments.

02The realityThe promise did not match the implementation

As implementation progressed, the experience did not match expectations. Migration planning felt fragmented, training was limited, and the hands-on guidance the team needed did not materialize. Routine setup work became more labour-intensive, including manual seat-map and pricing tasks that made day-to-day operations harder instead of easier.

03The decisionOne week before launch, the risk was too high

One week before the scheduled launch, Imperial Theatre made the necessary call to stop. After months of preparation, staff still did not feel ready to complete basic ticketing tasks with confidence. Rather than risk a poor launch for patrons and staff, the team chose to end the implementation.

04The returnTixHub helped restore confidence quickly

TixHub responded quickly, worked closely with the Imperial Theatre team and helped restore operations with minimal disruption. The experience reset the partnership around what mattered most: practical support, clear communication and a platform that could adapt to the way the venue actually works.

What partnership means

Listen. Support. Adapt.

A strong software partnership means hearing clients, supporting them through change, and building around the way their venues work.

Listen before building

Product development should start with the real operational needs of venue teams.

Stay close through change

Migration and launch require accessible people, clear ownership and hands-on support.

Adapt to the venue

The platform should support how each organization works—not force it into a template.

We adapt to your venue,so you don’t have to.
