We’ve been asked so many times how the park and its environs will eventually appear, that we commissioned detailed renderings. These show a number of key areas of the park, including residences and businesses, plus the latest concept for the new transit station. Just click on the link, and you’re in the future.

Our consultation process to create that future has shifted to detailed negotiations with consultants as well as City staff. Although we are always impatient when it comes to park creation, City staff have advised us that plans should be coming to the February 2010 Council cycle. Updates will be posted on our website as they become available.

In the meantime progress continues on so many fronts. We were pleased to host the Mayors of Toronto and Vaughan, as well as Ministers Flaherty and Bradley to officially start construction on the new subway line. On the Keele side, work continues on our pond, mound and stormwater management system. We’re even pleased to be expanding our athletic services with new squash courts and a climbing gym coming on stream next year.
